New Delhi, Jan 7 : Four Powerlifters died, while Gold medalist Powerlifter Saksham Yadav and another person was severely injured, after their car rammed into a divider near Alipur area, close to Singhu border, on Delhi-Chandigarh Highway during the early hours of Sunday.
According to locals, the speedy vehicle rammed into the divider and later hit a pole, at around 0400 hrs, due to low visibility.
Police said the victims were rushed to the hospital, where four of them were declared brought dead. The two critically-injured, including Yadav, were referred to a private hospital, where they were under treatment.
