Anantnag, Jan 15 : In a major drive, Jammu and Kashmir police seized over 500 kgs of polythene in this south Kashmir district, a police spokesman said on Monday afternoon.
He said to check the menace of polythene, police conducted a surprise drive in Anantnag, Bijbehara, Ashmuqam, Srigufwara, Pahalgam, Dooru, Mattan Kokernag & other surrounding areas in the district.
He said over 500 kgs of polythene bags were seized.
The drive will continue in the district, he said adding that action will be taken against those who are violating the ban.
