Bengaluru, Jan 16 : Police have arrested a two member inter-State gang and recovered Rs 25 lakh worth stolen articles from them in the city.
Police, in a release here on Tuesday said that the arrested culprits were identified as 43-year-old Dood Kumar Das and 28-year-old Sagar Chandra Das, hailing from Dubalia of Nadiya District in West Bengal.
Based on a complaint from Avinash Vasista that some miscreants had broke open his house when he was away on a visit to Lucknow and robbed articles worth more than Rs 30 lakh. Police formed a Special team and nabbed the culprits.
The stolen articleS recovered included 67 grams of gold ornaments, 4.2 Kg silver articles, 6 Mobile phones, 4 Cameras, 8 Brass idols of various gods, 11 wrist watches, currencies of different countries and household articles.
