EC recommendation on 20 MLAs in ‘Office of Profit’ case : BJP, Cong demand Kejriwal’s resignation
New Delhi, Jan 19 : The Opposition BJP and Congress on Friday demanded the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after reports of the Election commission recommending disqualification of 20 AAm Aadmi party MLAs in the ‘office of profit’ case .
“Disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs is a huge moral defeat for Arvind Kejriwal.
It has put his leadership in peril.
He must resign on ethical grounds,” Delhi BJP leader Vijender Gupta said in a tweet, reacting to reports in this regard.
Mr Gupta said that he would request the President for speedy approval in the case.
