Bandipora, Feb 2: Army on Friday evening cordoned off Sheikh Mohalla Chandergeer area of Hajin town in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reports said that a couple of gun shots were heard in the area before the cordon was laid there.
Witnesses said that shortly after a couple of gun shots were heard in the area, Army personnel from 13 Rashtriya Rifles surrounded the area, however, they didn’t find anything there.
Witnesses added that a large number of youth blocked the road after they soldiers were retreating from the area.
“Army is present in another area and everything is under control,” said the eyewitness. (CNS)
