Srinagar: Police on Saturday arrested an alleged fraudster who has wrongfully withdrawn amount from the ATM illegally of another person.
According to reports, police station Pattan received a written complaint from one Mohd Assadullah Parray son of Mohd Jamal Parray resident of Chukar Pattan stating that yesterday the complainant was withdrawing money from SBI ATM at Pattan one unknown person offers to help him in withdrawing money and during the course of withdrawal the said person fraudulently exchanged his ATM with complainants ATM.
After that the said unknown person fraudulently withdraw 16800 and causing wrongful loss to complainant.
In this regard case Fir No 27/2018 u.s 379, 403 RPC of police station Pattan registered and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation CCTV footage obtained from concerned bank in which that unknown person got identified namely as Jahangir Ahmad Najar son of Mohd Assadullah Najar resident of Khag Khanpora.
Police has arrested the accused and the money was recovered from his possession.
