Srinagar, Feb 22 :  A soldier was injured when militants attacked a security force patrol party in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Thursday, official sources said.

They said militants attacked a patrol party at Hajin in Bandipora district this morning with automatic weapons, injuring a soldier.
Troops also retaliated, they said, adding that later, a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was conducted in the area.
However, the militants had managed to escape.
The CASO was later lifted, they added.
