Ganderbal: An elderly man, identified as Gh Rasool Lone S/o Abdul Ahad Lone of Kupwara area of North Kashmir, was killed on Sunday morning in an accident near Sonamarg market of Ganderbal district.
Reports said the deceased who was present at Old truck yard Sonamarg and hit by a truck bearing registration number JKO3A-6599.
After the incident he was immediately rushed to PHC Sonamarg where from doctors referred him to Kangan hospital and succumbed at Kangan hospital, reports said.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body was sent to his native village for last rites.
Police have registered a case in the incident.
