Srinagar, Jun 15 : President Employees Joint Action Committee Abdul Qayoom Wani condemned the brutal killing of internationally renowned journalist editor in chief Rising Kashmir Syed Shujaat Bukhari.
In a statement issued to KPS, Wani termed cold blooded murder of Shujaat Bukhari direct attack on freedom of press and demanded immediate inquiry into the incident.
He said that Syed Shujaat Bukhari was an institution of journalism, multi dimensional personality and was inspiration for young journalists.
President EJAC said that Syed Shujaat Bukhari was voice of suppressed people. Wani along with all the leaders of EJAC strongly condemned this barbaric act and showed sympathy with the bereaved family and the staff members of Rising Kashmir and Sangermaal and prayed for the departed soul for eternal peace.
