Srinagar: Protesters pelted government forces with rocks and tried to disrupt their operation against the holed up militants in Pulwama on Friday.
Earlier a gunfight between militants and government forces broke out in Chatepora area of the town.
Local sources said that soon after the start of the gunfight the protesters started marching towards the gunfight site pelting stones on forces.
The government forces fired tear smoke shells and fired many shots in air to disperse the protesters.(Agencies)
