Lucknow, Jun 29 : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati on Friday has questioned the rationale behind BJP government at the centre releasing the video of surgical strikes of the Army at this juncture.
“Releasing video of Surgical Strikes is nothing but an attempt by this Narendra Modi government to distract people from their enormous failures before 2019,” she alleged.
She further asked, “If they did it with intention of showing proof, then why did they not release video when strike the was carried out?.
In a statement here, Ms Mayawati said that no one questioned or sought proof of the surgical strike when it was done as every Indian respects the Army personnel and their sacrifice for the country. “But suddenly the release of the video of the strikes by the BJP government shows that they are trying to take political mileage from it,” she said.
The BSP president said that misusing the Army for its political purpose is condemnable and it shows the real face of the BJP.
