Ranchi, Jun 29 : The Jharkhand High Court today extended the provisional bail of jailed former Bihar chief minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav by another six weeks i.e till August 17.
Earlier, the court had granted him six weeks of the provisional bail to Mr Yadav on May 11 which had ended on June 22. On that day, the court had fixed June 29 as the next date of announcing the decision on further extension of his provisional bail.
In their plea before the court, the lawyers of Mr Yadav had apprised the court regarding his illness. For his extension of bail plea the lawyers had said that Mr Yadav was suffering from the lack of platelets, blood sugar, blood pressure, heart and kidney ailments and was going treatment in Mumbai.
