‘Sambal’ Yojana to become example for other states: Shivraj
Bhopal, June 29 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the recently-launched ‘Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana’ aimed at making basic necessities of life available to poor and would serve as an example for other states to emulate.
“Poverty would disappear on its own accord provided that basic necessities such as food, cloth, shelter, education, health, electricity and social security are provided to poor. This is the objective behind launching the scheme,” Mr Chouhan told media at his official residence here today.
Claiming that the scheme would bring out unprecedented results, he said that more than 1.80 cr people have been identified as prospected beneficiaries. Several beneficiaries have started getting the scheme’s benefits.
“A provision of Rs 3,000 crore has been made for the scheme. More funds would be earmarked under it in future,” said Mr Chouhan.
Mentioning that his regime has launched several schemes for poor, he said that all these schemes would be implemented in a coordinated manner under the Sambal Scheme – which was launched on June 13.
For the scheme’s effective implementation, a campaign has been launched in the entire state. In particular, registration of labourers is being done under the scheme to ensure that benefit accrues to this section.
