Tripura CM accuses CPM of spreading rumor and violence

Agartala, Jun 29 :  Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today issued warning to opposition CPI (M) and police to step back from their association with drug paddlers, land mafias and anti-social gang otherwise, law will take it’s own course.
Talking to media, Deb before leaving for Imphal stated that in past three and half months of BJP-IPFT rule it is observed that CPI (M) and it’s aides involved in anti-social activities have been trying to create unrest in the state and divert the attention of the government.
“I am reiterating that no one will be spared at any rank and position but the resolution of my government is committed to make Tripura free from drug, crime and corruption. Whoever will create hindrance in the mission to deal with iron hand,” Deb stated.
He stated that police has been asked to take appropriate step against the criminals without any fear or favor. The administration is also keeping a close eye on the social media activities regarding recent spate of violence happened over a week across the state, which claimed at least seven lives and left many injured.
“To handle the rumor mongers the authority has suspended internet service for two days last evening and the government is doing it’s best to maintain peace and tranquility in the state. All drug and land mafias working at the behest of their political god fathers have already been identified and there will be no further violence,” Deb added.
Addressing media in BJP party office Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath and BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik alleged that all seven murders including an 11 –yrs old boy committed in last 10 days were by the CPI (M) party as part of their nefarious design to put slur on the government.
As many as 18 persons in connection with the murders were arrested and it was established that 17 of them were active CPI (M) workers and two of them were joined in BJP after new government came in power after March 3 this year. All the nuisance and criminal activities have been doing by the turncoat CPI (M) in BJP in the government offices, trade unions and motor workers union and in the mafia syndicates, Nath alleged.
He further stated that as many as 117 cases of drug paddling and cannabis dealing cases have been registered in the state in last three months and at least 97 people were arrested. Out of the accused 72 are identified as CPI (M) cadres and 15 are from other states involving in the rackets.
The 11 years old Purna Biswas was killed brutally by two minors with the direct instigation of CPI (M) party and investigation found their direct link with the opposition. Both families had political rivalry since election and Arjun Das and Biswajit Biswas was used by CPI (M) to kill a innocent child.
Similarly, Jahir Khan of Muzafarnagar of Uttar Pradesh was beaten to death yesterday and three others were injured by local CPI (M) leader and elected representative Dilip Debbarma. In another incident, when two persons on behalf of district administration started announcing through loud speakers in Kalacherra area of Sabroom to alert the people about rumor mongering, suddenly a group of CPI (M) cadres attacked on them.
Resulting in, announcer Sukanta Chakraborty (35) of Manikghar under Sabroom police station was killed on the spot by lynching, while driver of the vehicle was severely beaten up by the violent mob. Immediately, police rushed to the spot and resort to lathi-charge to disperse the mob.
Police sources said that the air in entire Mohanpur, Sabroom and other parts of the state were now thick with a baseless rumor that a gang of child-traffickers had entered the state to lift small children for sale outside.
Following killing of three person yesterday in different areas of the state all mobile and Internet service providers have asked to prohibit the services for 48 hours from Thursday afternoon to prevent the spread of rumors.
