Baltal: The Amarnath Yatra which was suspended due to bad weather on 29 June has resumed from the Baltal route today morning.

“With the improvement in the weather conditions, the pilgrimage was resumed this morning from Baltal route,”said an official posted at Baltal base camp.

He said that today morning around 7:30 am Air sorties and around 7:45 on foot route pilgrims left the Baltal camp to visit the holy shrine which is going on upto to 11am shudulded time. Similarly, they said pilgrims, who paid obeisance and stayed at the holy cave shrine, were also allowed to move towards Baltal base camp after 12:00 pm today.

After bad weather and incessant rainfall on Jun 29, the authorities decided to stop the yatra at the Baltal track.

After getting the clearance the pilgrims were allowed to start their journey towards holy cave, officials said.(Agencies)
