Mumbai, Jul 2 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday slipped by 205.46 points at 35,218.02 in early trade with high volatility, as selling was seen across the board.
The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 67.70
points to 10,646.70.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 35,578.24 and 35,179.84 points respectively.
The Nifty registered an intra day high and low at 10,736.15 and 10,632.55 respectively.
Though, the sensex advanced by 122 points to 35,545.22 it immediately went down even Nifty too opened on a positive note, rising by 18 points to open at 10,832.35 pts.
The sectoral indices like FMCG, IT, Bankex, Realty and Technology pushed the market in red in early trade.
The scrips like NTPC, ONGC, VEDL and SBI declined, brokers informed.
The losers were NTPC by 3.51 pc to Rs 153.85, ONGC by 2.47 pc to Rs 154.30, VEDL by 1.93 pc to Rs 231.20 and SBI by 1.89 pc to Rs 254.40.
The gainers were Bajaj Auto by 2.90 pc to Rs 2892.60, Sun Pharma by 1.07 pc to Rs 566.55, Asian Paints by 1.02 pc to Rs 1277 and Infosys by 0.86 pc to Rs 1318.
