Governor directs all Departments to take public grievances seriously, address them immediately
Srinagar, Jul 03: Governor N N Vohra has directed all the Departments to take public grievances seriously and address them immediately. In the same context Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo along with State Project Director SSA, Abdul Rashid War today toured District Anantnag and listened to various matters regarding Education sector from the public, teachers and students.
DSEK issued on spot directions for disposal of some matters and in some cases sought suggestions from other senior officers accompanying him.
In the first phase of the tour, DSEK along with Joint Director School Education South Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone inspected many schools and also visited Gujjar and Bakerwal Residential School Khanabal Anantnag and took stock of the teaching learning process, food and residential facilities being provided to the students in the school.
DSEK directed the warden of the residential school to take necessary steps for the repairing the entrance of the school and make the school very attractive for the schools. He also sought details from the warden about the facilities being provided to the students in the school.
Later Director School Education Kashmir and State Project Director SSA Abdul Rashid War convened a meeting of all the District Officers, Zonal Officers, the representatives of the executing agencies of construction works in the Department and other officials in which they reviewed the teaching learning process in the schools, construction works of schools and the construction progress of KGBV’s.
DSEK directed the executing agencies to expedite the construction works of the schools so that they can be completed within stipulated time. He also directed them to accelerate the establishment of KGBV’s.
To address many matters on spot, DSEK had directed many officers of Directorate to be present on the spot which included Deputy Director Planning Muhammad Yousuf Rather. During the meeting State Project Director SSA Abdul Rashid War reviewed the implementation of SSA and RMSA schemes at the ground level. (KNS)
