Submitted memorandum to their respective Deputy Commissioners
Srinagar: All J & K PSC Lecturers’ Association submitted memorandum to their respective Dupty commissioners demanding extension of benefits of assured career progression /Time Bound Promotion in their favour. The memorandum was submitted by the district representatives of the Association at district headquarters n which they raised the issue of long pending demand of implementation of running grade pattern ACP before Dupty commissioners and requested to take up the matter with the authorities. Plus two lecturers said that they had already taken up the issue with the finance minister, the then Haseeb Drabu and Altaf Bukhari Ex. Education minister before implementation of 7th pay commission .The same was highlighted in the budget speech by the finance minister stating that the benefits of assured career progression (ACP ) will be extended to all the gazetted officers of the state who don’t have time bound promotion. They appealed Honourable Governer through memorandum to fulfil the long pending demand of TBT in favour of lecturers .Lecturers community is the worst hit community suffering in terms of stagnation and other promotion avenues. It is sorry state of the matter that SRO 202 was implemented to only lecturers among gazitted cadres which also needs to be revoked, they further added.
“Plus Two PSC Lecturers Association has approached to the concerned authorities for so many times seeking redressal of all the grievances and fulfilling long pending demand of extending benefits of running grade pattern / ACP but no positive move has been done so far. It sounds very bad for the community to go for other options like strikes, protests and coming on roads because the association believes in deliberation and representation and convincing the authorities to address all the genuine and long pending demands .Beside, the association is committed to make not mark the career of thousands of poor students so it becomes the responsibility of the government to resolve all the pending issues of the fraternity. It is sheer injustice that the class of intellectuals who are supposed to shape the destiny of the nation are denied of financial growth and career progression whereas all other gazitted officers of the state are availing the benefits of ACP ” the memorandum reads.
Plus two PSC recruited lecturers also said that they are supposed to work on the same post for more than twenty years and if elevated to the post of principal gets the benefit of very meagre amount of two hundred ( 5400 to 5600 gp) which is sheer injustice with the community. It is pertinent to mention here that the district representatives of All J&K Plus Two PSC Association of the state submitted memorandum to their respective Dupty commissioners in which they appealed His Excellency, the governor for sympathetic consideration. We have lot of expectations from Honourable governor and hope that his Excellency will fulfil this long pending demand on the same pattern accorded to other gazitted officers of the state.
Plus Two PSC Lecturers’ Association expressed gratitude to all the Dupty commissioners of the state for showing concern and patient hearing.
In a press statement president of All J& K Plus Two PSC Lecturers Association Mr. Faisal Nayeem Parray thanked to all district representatives for active participation and extending all possible support and cooperation in odd situations also.
