Patna, Jul 16 : Former deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav today expressed his concern over growing number of rapes and alleged that Bihar and gang rape have become synonym due to Nitish government’s failure.
Mr Yadav in his official twitter account said, “Bihar and gang rape have become synonymous. But there is no discussion on Jungle Raj as ‘Balatkari Janata Party’ and Nitish uncle are running ‘luteri’ (predator) government formed through backdoor”.
In another tweet, Mr Yadav said, “Why thieves of people’s mandate should have shame over growing incidents of crime and rape. They have accepted it as destiny”.
As it is, a Mahadalit was first beaten and then gang raped in Bhojpur district late evening on Saturday. The victim lost her life during treatment.
