Lolab woman dies allegedly due to doctor’s negligence
Hospital authorities deny claims
Kupwara: A 32-year-old woman died due to alleged negligence of doctors in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
According to reports, a 32-year-old woman Nigeena Begum wife of Riyaz Ahmed Tantray resident of Krunsun Lolab, Kupwara died hours after she delivered a baby.
Family said that doctors at Kupwara hospital allegedly ignored her condition post delivery as she was bleeding profusely and had developed other complications.
The doctors at the hospital shifted her to Srinagar medical Institute while on way she passed away, family members said.
Meanwhile soon after news of her death spread in the area, people in large number rushed towards the hospital and attacked hospital property with stones.
Meanwhile, hospital authorities when contacted denied all family allegations and said that patient was treated in a good way with the result she delivered a baby.
The officer added that after B.T complication we referred her to Srinagar hospital for advance treatment.
