Militants appear in Srinagar, attack and injure CRPF soldier
Srinagar: A CRPF soldier was injured after militants appeared in Srinagar and attacked forces personnel deployed near the Fire and Emergency HQs just outside the police control room (PCR) on Tuesday.
The militants fired many shots after appearing on the busy road near Civil Secretariat Srinagar, and fired at the deployment.
Witnesses said that militants targeted a CRPF soldier and fled from the scene.
The CRPF man was injured and shifted to some hospital, witnesses said adding the whole area was immediately cordoned off to nab the attackers.
Appearing of militants on a busy Srinagar, road near the PCR and Civil Secretariat has unnerved the security grid, sources said. (Agencies)
