BJP legislator asks Hindu couples to have 5 children to keep ‘Hindutva intact’
Srinagar, 26 jul : A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Surendra Singh has asked Hindu couples to have at least five children in order to keep Hindutva “intact”, a media report said.
In an interview to a news agency ANI, Singh claimed that the ‘step is necessary to increase the population of Hindus in India.’
“It is the desire of every spiritual leader (mahant) for every couple to have a minimum of five children. This way the population will be under control and Hindutva would remain intact,” ANI quoted Singh as having said.
Singh is no stranger to controversies when it comes to his statements over Hindutva. (Agencies)
