Srinagar: Government forces have launched a cordon and search operation in a village in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of police on Thursday afternoon laid a cordon around Sadal village of Handwara amid reports that suggested presence of militants in the area, official sources told Local Media. The search team also fired warning shots in a bid to evoke response from the militants.
