Question Hour in Bihar Assembly washed out over sexual exploitation at short stay home

Patna, Jul 26 :   Bihar Assembly was adjourned only after 10 minutes in its pre lunch session today when Opposition members created uproarious scenes in the House over their demand for High Court`s monitoring of probe into sexual exploitation of girls at Muzaffarpur`s short stay home.
As soon as speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary announced commencement of question hour in the House, RJD member Bhai Birendra demanded that High Court should monitor the investigation being carried out into sexual exploitation of girls at short stay home in Muzaffarpur. He said, the name of social welfare minister Manju Verma`s husband had also figured in the case so the minister should immediately resign and her husband should be immediately arrested.
Congress member Sadanand Singh said, he along with leader of opposition Tejaswi Yadav, former chief minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi and leaders of left parties had visited the short stay home in Muzaffarpur yesterday and the matters brought to them during their visit were very shameful.
On it, parliamentary affairs minister Shravan Kumar said when the government had handed over the entire case to CBI, it could not be a subject of debate in the House.
Speaker Mr Chaudhary said that the government had handed over the case to CBI and now government could not decide whether the investigation into it should be monitored by High Court. He said that the hearing of case would be held in High Court today and government would comply with the court`s all directives.
He said, it was not possible for action against somebody when the case was being investigated and the inquiry report had yet to be received. He said the government would take follow up action based on the findings in the inquiry report.
On it, RJD, Congress and the CPI (ML) members stood before their seats and started trying to speak on the issue at the same time plunging the House into bedlam.
Speaker Mr Chaudhary appealed members to keep silence and allow the House to take up question hour.
