New Delhi, Aug 3 : Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore
on Friday said it was wrong to accuse government over resignations of three employees of a private news channel.
Responding to the issue raised by Congress member Mallikarjun Kharge
during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Mr Rathore said,’the government has got nothing to do with this matter.’
The Minister said Mr Kharge is talking about a channel whose own TRPs were dipping .
‘Why are they( Congress) blaming the government for the resignations in the news channel.
The Minister said the private news channel which is being mentioned by Mr Kharge is aired through
Free Dish which is owned by the Government and the Government had not taken any action despite the news channel having aired wrong news.
While raising the issue, Mr Kharge had accused the Government of building pressure on the private news channel for forcing three employees to quit the channel.
