Rafiabad gunfight: Five militants trapped in Dooniwari woods, says DGP vaid
Srinagar, 08 Aug : Jammu and Kashmir police chief SP Vaid Wednesday said five militants are believed to be trapped in ongoing Rafiabad forests in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
“Encounter going on in Dooniwari forest area of Police Station Dangiwacha Sopore, report of presence of 5 militants. Wish success to our boys,” Director of General of Police Vaid said in his tweet.
Earlier today a para commando was injured in the gunfight that broke out between militants and the government forces in Rafiabad woods.
A joint team of army’s 32 RR and 9 PARA commandos launched a cordon-and-search operation in the dense woods of upper reaches of Rafiabad today wee hours.
