Srinagar: A police- public meeting was held today at Police Station Safapora under the chairmanship of Sh S M Shafi-JKPS, Dy SP Ops Ganderbal who was accompanied by SHO Saffapora Inspector Tariq Yousuf and other formations of PS Saffapora.The respectable citizens of the area raised various issues related to Law and Order,Security of life and property of the public and other administrative matters.They insisted upon standard policing practices for foolproof security of life and property of the general public.They expressed their concern over drug addiction and drug peddling menace which has been targeting youth of the area in addition to traffic related issues like traffic jammic jamming in main Saffapora market and near Sumbal Park and overloading.They also raised some issues related to civic amenities like electricity, water supply, health, education, road connectivity, vehicle parking, environmental protection, traffic regulation, Career Counselling of youth, etal. Public was assured that all those issues pertaining to Police shall be resolved on priority whileas issues pertaining to civil departments shall be taken up with the concerned quarters at the earliest for their speedy redressel. At the end of the meeting public representatives present in the meeting thanked SSP Ganderbal Sh Khalil Ahmad Poswal- JKPS and other ranks for adopting prompt approach to bridge the gaps between police and public. They also ensured their cooperation in eliminating crimes in the area.
