Lady burned by in-laws in Bandipora: Govt forms SIT to probe allegations
She was brought with grievous burn injuries to District Hospital Bandipora on Saturday where from she was shifted to SKIMS. She died on Sunday at SKIMS.
Doctors at the SKIMS said that she had received 100 percent burn injuries and the cause of death was a “cardiorespiratory arrest”.
The family and colleagues of the lady on Tuesday alleged that Rehana was murdered by her In-laws which included her father-in-law, mother in-law and a sister in-law.
The deputy commissioner Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary confirmed that the SIT has been constituted to probe the allegations.
Senior superintendent of police Bandipora told that the SIT has been formed into the alleged killing case. The SIT, he said, will be headed by DySp.
