J&K NEET exam center issue: Principal Secy health says ‘not getting response from New Delhi’
Srinagar: The NEET aspirants of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday expressed resentment over the National Board of Examination’s cold response to their pleas of changing their center from Jammu to Srinagar.
An MDS aspiring students’ group told Kashmir Reader that the website where they were supposed to submit the forms for the examination had developed some technical snag. “We contacted the NBE over email and the officials got it rectified. However, not before 5 days,” Saba Fatima, an MDS aspirant told Kashmir Reader.
By the time, Fatima said, the website was up and running, the Srinagar center option had exhausted. “We approached the concerned officials including the Governor’s advisor Khurshid Ganai who directed us to the Principal Secretary health Atul Dullo.”
The students said that Dullo immediately directed the concerned officials to address the students’ issues and assured that the issue would be resolved at the earliest.
However, Yasir Ayub, another MDS aspirant said that the NBE has failed to respond to the “genuine” demands of the students so far and it is taking a toll on the students.
“Since the last date of filing the examination form was expiring, we approached Atul Dullo again, who told us to assign Jammu as their center of examination,” Ayub said. Mr Dulloo assured the students that their center would be changed later after due consultations with the examination authorities.
Atal Dullo while talking to Kashmir Reader said that it looks impossible now to get the center changed. “I had talked to the concerned officials in New Delhi but have not received any response yet.”
He said that the students will have to appear in the examinations at already assigned centers
