UP buisnessman goes missing from Kashmir’s Shopain

Srinagar: A 21-year-old businessman from Uttar Pradesh is missing from south Kashmir’s Shopian from November 19, his family told.

According to a senior police officer, room-mate of Danish Haroon Qureshi, 21, of Sikanderabad UP has filed his missing report at Police Station Shopian on November 22.
“He has been missing from November 19 from a Shopian Fruit Mandi. His colleagues and friends tried to locate him but they couldn’t find him. His phone number is also not connecting since then.
”Later they came to us on November 22 and filed a missing report,” the officer told.
He said police was trying to locate him through various means but they have not achieved any breakthrough yet.
“Now we have requested the top officials for the tower location of his phone. It is taking little time as the number belongs to outside state,” he added.
The family of Danish, who was working in Kashmir’s Shopian district as a fruit dealer for last two months, appealed the top police officials of J&K to intervene in the matter.
“We are concerned about Danish’s safety. We want to come to Kashmir but we are confused what to do,” his father Haroon Qureshi told.
He said his son’s phone was not reachable since then.
“He was not alone his brother and other colleagues were also there. He was doing a good business after transporting apples from Shopian to Buland Shehar UP,” he said. (KR)
