New Delhi, Dec 4 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the Navy personnel and their families on the occasion of Navy Day. “Navy Day greetings to all valorous personnel of the Indian Navy and their families. India is grateful to our Navy for protecting the nation and the commendable role the Navy plays during disaster relief,” Prime Minister tweeted. Navy Day is observed in India on December 4 every year to celebrate the achievements and role of the naval force to the country. The Maratha Emperor, Chhatarpati Shivaji Bhosle of the 17th century is considered as “Father of the Indian Navy”, according to many.
