Thousands of cases settled in National Lok Adalat
Srinagar: Thousands of cases of different nature were settled amicably in National Lok Adalats held across Kashmir valley.
Officials on Sunday said that National Lok Adalat was on Saturday held across all the District Court complexes and several of their subordinate courts wherein various pre and post litigation cases pertaining to different matters were taken.
In Srinagar, they said the National Lok Adalat was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar under the chairmanship of Principal and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, Abdul Rashid Malik at District Court Complex, Moominabad. Special Mobile Magistrate, Traffic Judge, Gowhar Majeed were present on the occasion.
They said on the occasion, nine benches, which were constituted for taking different types, took up 1941 cases out of which 1613 were amicably settled on the spot.
