J&K BJP Unit expels Gagan Bhagat for anti-party activities

Jammu, Dec 10 The state unit of BJP on Monday expelled former MLA Dr Gagan Bhagat for his anti-party activities.

“Taking note of the report of Disciplinary Committee of State Bharatiya Janata Party on issue of indiscipline and immorality of Dr Gagan Bhagat, former MLA, which was submitted to the party President of State unit on July 19, 2018 and in view of his continued anti-party and anti-Jammu activities, Jammu and Kashmir BJP State President Ravinder Raina (Ex-MLA) expelled Dr Gagan Bhagat from the party with immediate effect as he has neither followed the instructions of Disciplinary Committee nor showed the discipline expected of member of Bharatiya Janata Party,” the party spokesman here said.

He said Dr Bhagat will cease to be a member of Bharatiya Janata Party with immediate effect, adding, ” Bharatiya Janata Party requests its cadre and public at large, particularly of R S Pura constituency, not to entertain him in reference to his former position of being associated with party.

BJP had issued warnings to Dr Bhagat after his objectionable photos as MLA went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, his wife had also lodged complaint against him and filed a case in the court.
