Imran Khan calls Modi, expresses desire to work together

Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan congratulated Narendra Modi for NDA’s landslide victory in Indian general elections and expressed his desire for both the neighboring countries to work together.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Mohammad Faisal took to Twitter and said, “PM expressed his desire for both countries to work together for the betterment of their peoples.”

Mr. Faisal also said that PM Imran Khan in his congratulatory phone call to PM Modi reiterated his “vision for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia”. “…the Prime Minister said he looked forward to working with Prime Minister Modi to advance these objectives.”

Notably, Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party won a whopping majority with 300+ in parliament, and NDA is set to continue for another term.
