AAP leader Aatishi, others get bail in defamation case


New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) A local court on Friday granted bail to AAP leader Aatishi and others in a defamation case, seeking proceeding against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others, for ‘harming the reputation of BJP by blaming the party for the deletion of names of “voters” from the electoral rolls in Delhi.
On behalf of BJP Delhi unit, party leader Rajiv Babbar had moved the court, saying “The reputation of the complainant has been damaged beyond repair.
‘All the accused had made accusations against BJP in a calculated manner, with the sole intention to portray a negative image of BJP in relation to the voters belonging to certain sections of society, namely, Bania, Poorvanchalis and Muslims, among others.
