Over 51 cr required to complete Jammu’s Artificial Lake project: Official


Jammu, Jun 12 (UNI) An amount of more than 51 crores is required to complete Artificial Lake Project being constructed on River Tawi here, an official said.
Briefing Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta on developmental projects being carried out in this winter capital of the state in a meeting on Tuesday, a senior official of PHE and Flood Irrigation said that the work for construction of auto mechanically operated barrage at cross river Tawi one-kilometre downstream main Tawi Bridge for creation of artificial lake at Belicharana, Jammu was allotted to M/s G R Infra projects Limited.
”Despite the agreement, the firm did not complete the allotted work and intentionally delayed on one pretext or other thus causing huge loss to the state exchequer”, he added.
