First they didn’t pay heed too us, now the paying the fee again is totally unjustified. It was because some of the miscreants who didn’t let the college authorities to conduct exams, degree of around 800 students is on the verge of getting extended. when we already paid they fee, why do we have to pay again”, said a group of students talking to KPS.
“i live in a rented accommodation and i come from a poor family, i have already taken the examination fee from my parents. i cant ask them again. There are number of students like me who cant pay the fee again. i appeal the controller examination to reconsider our appeal and cancel the examination fee,” said a student wishing anonymity.
When contacted controller examinations Mumtaz Ali Andrabi, he said , ” the students refused to give the examination in degree college bemina and amar singh college , although the college authorities tried their level best in convincing them to sit for the exams but to no avail. However exams in other colleges on the same day went smoothly. After giving number of representations to the V.C , he agreed as career of lots of students was on stake which otherwise was considered as a backlog. So after chairing number of meetings we agreed on conducting the exams on priority basis so that the students don’t suffer anymore. examination fee is necessary and we can neither bring it down nor cancel it. it will be a backlog exam actually, to be conducted on fast track basis which was otherwise supposed to be next year. That why we have only provided a window of 3 days to submission of fee, so that we are done with exams soon.”
