Lack of Policy of Govt for Framing of Promotion Avenues for Dental Surgeons and Amendment in Recruiting Rules for Dy Director Dentistry Post: IDA

Srinagar, July 2 : Indian Dental Association J&K State Branch is Aghast on the Policy of Govt for framing the Criteria of Eligibility for One Single Post of Dy Director Dentistry in Kashmir Region by formulating a Biased SRO which has led to benefit for Six Dental Consultants who have been recently appointed during 2010 leaving thousands of In service Senior most Dental Surgeons dejected.

Issuing Such SRO is injustice to our Senior most in-service Dental Surgeons who were earlier eligible for the said post and it seems that issuing such SRO is a deliberate move to favoritism .

Despite Continuous representations to Govt the Categorization of Dental Surgeons is still pending from Decades as all Cadres of Gazetted Services of Health & Medical Education Department are due to rank of Promotions but unfortunately Dental Graduates are being appointed as Dental Surgeons and retire as same. The Quota for Dental Surgeons on Administrative posts is still a distant dream.

Dr Javid Qanungo State Secretary IDA J&K State Branch requests the Honorable Governor J&K State and Commissioner Secretary Health to look into the genuine demands of aggrieved in-service Dental Graduates.
