Ayodhya-mediation panel files report to apex court

New Delhi, Aug 1: The Supreme Court-appointed three-member Ayodhya mediation panel on Thursday submitted its report regarding the status of the exercise being carried out by it in connection with the Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case.
It is, on the basis of this mediation panel report, that the five- judge Constitution bench which will assemble tomorrow, will decide if to wind up the mediation process & resume hearing of the title suit.
The panel submitted its report, in a sealed cover, to the apex court.
As per the order of the Apex Court, the mediation report neither be reported nor published by the media.
A five-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, will hear the matter tomorrow.
The other four judges on the bench would be Justices S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer.
Headed by Justice (retired) FMI Kalifullah, the panel also comprised senior counsel Sriram Panchu and spiritual guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
