2 drug peddlers held with Heroin like substance in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec, KDC: Continuing its drive against drug dealings in Srinagar, Police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

Srinagar police in a statement to news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) said ‘Police Party of Police Station Shaheed Gunj during patrolling/checking of vehicles at Jehlum Market Batmaloo arrested two drug peddlers and 13 grams of Heroin like substance recovered from their possession.”

In this regard Case FIR No. 156/2020 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj against the two accused persons namely: Waseem Bashir Sheikh Son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Pallapora Noorbagh Srinagar and Fayaz Ahmad Sofi Son of Bashir Ahmad Sofi, resident of Hamdania Colony Bemina, Srinagar.

Locals of the area have hailed the Police action and are expecting that this type of action against drug menace shall continue in future also.
