HRIF National Director of India Honoured with Prestigious Doctorate for Social Work, Human Rights & Animal Welfare
In a historic moment for Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. Abdul Qayum War, National Director (India) of the Human Rights International Federation (HRIF), has been awarded the Honorary Doctorate Award (Honoris Causa) by the Prestigious Peace Award Council (PPAC) an organisation registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
The award recognises Dr. War’s exceptional contributions to social welfare, human rights advocacy, community development, and animal welfare, making it one of the most distinguished honours he has received in his career.
Over the years, Dr. Qayum War has been honoured with multiple prestigious awards, including global recognitions often compared with Nobel level honours, international peace awards, humanitarian excellence awards, and several national distinctions for his continuous work for justice, equality, and protection of vulnerable communities. Among these, the PPAC Honorary Doctorate stands out as one of the finest and most respected honours he has ever received, marking a major milestone in his humanitarian journey.
Throughout his work with HRIF, Dr. War has played a vital role in raising awareness on human rights, combating domestic violence, promoting legal literacy, supporting drug de-addiction initiatives, and strengthening police public cooperation. His leadership has helped HRIF expand across 28 states and 8 Union Territories, with thousands of volunteers and supporters engaged in grassroots activities.
He has also been widely recognised for his commitment to animal welfare, consistently advocating compassion, rescue, and public awareness to protect innocent lives.
