A 12-year-old girl who had gone missing on Saturday was found dead in a field in Galwanpora village of Budgam on Sunday morning, triggering shock and grief in the area.
The body was recovered after family members and locals launched a search operation. Police have reached the spot, taken cognisance of the incident and initiated legal proceedings. Further investigation is underway.
