Pulse Polio Immunization: DC Srinagar reviews arrangements
Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization on April 2
SRINAGAR, MARCH 27: Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone, today held a meeting to review the arrangements of Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI Phase 2) to be administered on April 2 in Srinagar.
The meeting was attended by CMO Srinagar, Dr. Bashir Malik, representative of WHO NPSP, Dr Sheema, HOD Social and Preventive Medicine, Deputy CMO Srinagar, DIO, BMO, ZMOs, members of ICDS and others.
The meeting was informed that 630 polio booths with 2520 workers have been set up in the district to administer doses to 1,83,861 number of children up to the age of five years.
The DC asked the officials to work with dedication to ensure 100% achievement of target.
CMO Srinagar said the district administration has set up polio booths in every part of Srinagar and appealed the parents to get their children immunized on April 2.
Pulse Polio is an immunization campaign established by the Government of India to eradicate poliomyelitis (polio).
