Srinagar: Junior Cricket championship will be inaugurated by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today at Dehli Public School, Srinagar.
The junior Cricket Championship is a mega event jointly organized by Delhi Public School, Srinagar and Jammu and Kashmir State sports, Council. The event aims at identifying the sports talent at grass root level in the Kashmir province and intends to provide the cricket enthusiastic a platform to showcase their talent. We look forward to conducting an extensive tournament wherein teams from various schools of the valley will get a fair chance to compete against each other and find recognition in the field of cricket. We are anticipating a grand participation of about 320 teams consisting of around 4800 players and we will be conducting about 319 matches in the event. The championship si for boys of the under 17 category.
