2nd Annual Marathon event “RUN FOR FUN” held in Anantnag

 

DIG SKR flagged off the event, participated in the event

Srinagar March, 30: The 2nd Annual Marathon event themed as “RUN FOR FUN” was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police South Kashmir Range in Anantnag, today. Deputy Inspector General of Police SKR Shri Swayam Prakash Pani flagged off the marathon and also participated in the event.

The event started from Water Treatment Plant Bumzoo and ended at Dak Bangalow Khanabal. A large number of youth from District Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama and Awantipora participated in the event.

Younis Mushtaq Reshi resident of Verinag secured the 1st prize of marathon while Asif Gani Khanday resident of Qazigund and Rashid Farooq Reshi resident of Verinag secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

DIG SKR Shri S.P Pani distributed the cash prizes of 20,000, 15,000 and 10,000 among the winners, besides, distributed the medals and certificates to the participants.

Speaking on the occasion DIG SKR Shri S.P Pani praised the enthusiasm of the youth and assured that J&K Police will help the youth in honing their talent. He also said that conducting such events, sports festivals and other activities will be a permanent process of J & K Police.
