Srinagar: A meeting of Officers from Health department held here today under the chairman ship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Nazir Ahmad Baba . The meeting reviewed arrangements for second phase of Immunization of plus polio programme scheduled on 2nd of April 2017. Among others Chief Medical Officer Baramulla, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, DEMO, Ghulam Rasool Bhat all BMOs of the district and programme officers ICDS were present in the meeting.
A total of 154879 children are to be immunized during the 2nd phase of the IPPI in district Baramulla, for which786 vaccination booths have been put in place. The various teams deployed for the purpose 3380 members, including Health workers, ASHA Workers, Anganwari workers and Teachers. Moreover, 169 Supervisors have been put in place for the supervisory work. Besides, Transit Camps and Mobile camps have also been established across the district for places like railway stations, Bus addas, etc.
The ADC, meanwhile, called for extensive and coordinative efforts from the deployed machinery, so that every child below the age of five years in the district is covered under the programme.
