Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil, Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan today visited Zojilla pass at Minamarg to inspect the ongoing Snow clearance work. He was accompanying with Advisor to CEC Haji Mohammad Shafi, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Gulzar Hussain, SSP Kargil T Gyalpo, BRO officers and other district officers.
Kacho on this occasion appreciated the ongoing work done by Border Road Organization Project Viajayk at Zojila pass. Meanwhile BRO officers while briefing about the work told CEC that they are likely clear snow from the national highway till 15 April.
Its pertinent to mention here that Srinagar –Kargil national highway was closed after heavy snowfall in the region in ending December 2016 due to which on 25 January 2017 Ladakh was even digitally disconnected after Optical Fiber cable was broken.
