Municipal council employees staged protest in Sopore

Srinagar: Hundreds of employees from municipal council Sopore staged a protest in support of their multiple demands at MCH office Sopore.
The protesting employees urged upon the government to address the problems faced by the employees of the municipal council Sopore.
President (Safayi Karam Chari Union) Mohd Subhan sheikh said that employees have been facing multiple problems while government has miserably failed to address them.
Scores of employees are awaiting regularization, these demands are just and genuine and we sincerely appeal authorities to resolve our issues on humanitarian grounds,” We have not received our salaries from last several months president said.
He further said that they have been demanding regularisation of their services from last one year, but government is not listening to their pleas. “Besides ignoring our pleas, the government is not even releasing our pending honorarium,” he added.
He said that they will continue to stage protests against the government in case they failed to fulfill their demands.
Meanwhile SDM Sopore assured that we would take-up the matter with concerned quarters so that problems faced by employees will be addressed in shortest possible time.
