NC Minority Cell intensifies electoral campaign for Dr Farooq Abdullah
JAMMU APRIL 06- National Conference Minority Cell on Thursday stepped up its campaign to seek vote and support for party nominee Dr Farooq Abdullah from Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.
Various teams, led by senior NC functionaries visited various camps and non-camps, interacted with the electors and held door to door campaign while highlighting the crucial role played by National Conference from time to time to isolate communal and reactionary forces and to safeguard the interests of Kashmiri Pandits.
Addressing various meetings at Jagti Camp, Nagrota Camp, Buta Nagar, Purkhoo, Anand Nagar, Bohri, Subash Nagar, Roop Nagar, Durga Nagar and Rajpura, the President of the Cell Mr M K Yogi and Provincial Vice President Mr Anil Dhar lashed out at the PDP for ignoring the migrants, as a result of which their problems were getting accumulated with each passing day.
Mr Anil Dhar Provincial Vice President said that National Conference has all along stood by the displaced people during difficult times and it will continue to do so, come what may. He referred to the lofty ideals of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah sand said his cherished slogan of ‘Hindu Muslim Sikh Itehad’ will always remain a guiding force for the party.
Mr Dhar also referred to the initiatives taken during the tenure of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister to improve the living conditions of migrants by raising tenements, providing jobs, enhancing relief and getting sanctioned posts under Prime Minister’s package.
Mr M K Yogi President Minority Cell decried the PDP led government for putting into back-burner the crucial recruitment process, saying the eligible youth were made to run helter-skelter for jobs during the past two years.
Mr Yogi criticized the coalition government for depriving migrants of all important health-cover and delaying the renovation of various camp dwelling units that had potential of putting the safety of dwellers into jeopardy.
Mr Anil Dhar, Mr M K Yogi and Vice President Youth National Conference Mr Jatin Bhat and others, in a joint statement, made a passionate appeal to the migrant voters to vote for Dr Farooq Abdullah, saying it will strengthen the pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir.
They also sought vote and support for Mr G A Mir from Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency.
