Internet service restored in Valley
Srinagar: The broadband and the mobile internet services was restored immediately after the re-polling was over in 38 polling stations in Budgam district of Srinagar Parliamentary constituency.
With this the four day internet lockjam was over in the Valley, pertinently KNS had earlier in the day quoted Director General of Police (DGP) as saying that the internet service would be restored by today evening. DGP had said that broadband internet services was again suspended today on security grounds in view of the re-poll in 38 polling stations of Budgam district in Srinagar parliamentary constituency.
Earlier in the wee hours, the government had again suspended broadband internet facility, which renewed the anxiety among the net surfers particularly the journalists reporting for both the local newspapers and as well as national and international media organizations.
